* All races start and finish at Summerhill Farm car park, Reid Rd where there are toilets, sausage sizzle and coffee cart.
Cut off time of 11:45am for the Full Moa. If 15km participants reach the 10km aid station after 11:45am, they will be directed back to the finish area and will not enter The Swamp or Water Hole section.
We are a cupless event. There are no disposable cups on the course. Please bring your own cup, hydration pack or bottle to fill up.
There are two aid stations on the 15km course, one of which is passed twice during the race. And one aid station on the 8km course which is passed twice during the race. All aid stations will be stocked with water and RLINE. Due to the environment and terrain, we highly recommend you are self sufficient and do not rely solely on the aid stations.

There is no prize giving at The Moa Experience as we think it's better to give everyone an even greater chance to win a fabulous spot prize. Therefore spot prizes will be given randomly at registration.
Car Parking is available close to the Summerhill Farm car park. You will be directed when you approach and then it's a short walk to the start line. A bag drop is available at the Start/Finish. We STRONGLY encourage car pooling as there is limited space available.
The Moa Experience operates under the Leave No Trace principles and The Outdoor Safety Code. We have looked very closely at these principals and practises and how we can incorporate them into The Moa Experience:
Car Parking - We strongly encourage car pooling to the event. Not only is it better for the environment it is also more fun to travel with others.
Cupless Event - There are no cups at the aid stations. Participants are advised to carry their own.
Waste Management - There will be waste, composting and recycling bins at the event.
Environmentally Conscious - We have "Pack Your Own" Race packs. You only put in what you will use, thus eliminating waste and unwanted coupons!
Respect for the land - The Moa Experience is held annually and has capped entries, therefore minimising the impact to the land and environment. The course runs along existing tracks.
Giving back - Part of your entry fee goes back into Summerhill Farm and Papamoa Hills to help maintain the tracks for future use.
Special Thanks - To Summerhill Farm Charitable Trust and BOP Regional Council, who have generously given us permission to run this event.

Whether you are coming from Welcome Bay area or Papamoa/Te Puke end, turn right/left onto Reid Rd off Welcome Bay Road. Continue up Reid Rd for 3km and Summerhill Farm car park is on your left. Please be careful when driving, Reid Rd is narrow and windy, so caution is advised.
